WELDING & MACHINING
Extend the Life of Your Valves. Reduce Downtime.
Why replace, when you can repair? Regardless of the brands of isolation valves used in your facility, parts are sometimes hard to get. However, downtime doesn’t always have to be frustrating and expensive! With our welding and machining capabilities, we can extend the life of your valves and eliminate the immediate need for replacement—allowing you to get your plant up and running as quickly and safely as possible. When replacements are necessary, you can rely on our welding and machining capabilities to reduce the time your valve is out of service while you’re waiting for your parts. If your valve is not one of our authorized brands, no worries—we can likely repair it anyway.
<span style="color:#00488e;">Valve Stem Repair</span>
Valve Stem Repair
You may not need a replacement! Maintain the functionality, safety, and efficiency of your valves with our precision stem repair. Our process includes machining the valve stem to remove damaged areas, applying a weld overlay with suitable material, and re-machining the stem back to OEM specifications. We also perform pre-welding PMI and post-welding heat treatment as part of the repair process. With our stem repair capabilities, you won’t have to worry about sending your part out—we can complete stem repairs on-site and within a narrow window during short turnarounds.

Rotary Welding
We can also utilize rotary welding for circular or cylindrical components. This technique offers precision and consistency, making it suitable for applications where high-quality welds are essential.

Stuffing Box Bore Welding
Stuffing box bore welding is a method that we can apply to extend the life of equipment by repairing rather than replacing the entire valve stem chamber—reducing downtime and maintenance costs. It allows for localized restoration of critical components after experiencing wear and maintains overall valve functionality. Midwest Valve Services technicians have unique qualifications in this area. Our team ensures the long term, reliable performance of your equipment by choosing the appropriate stuffing box packing—which prevents fluid leakage, resists wear and tear, and maintains process integrity.
